I bought this CD for my daughter based on the song Say Hey (I love you). I knew she'd like it and was hoping the rest of the CD would be just as good. The CD did not disappoint, there's not a bad song on the entire CD, at least not for my taste. Some of his songs are a bit edgy with the lyrics, but they fit my politics so it works for me.
and rebel that he is, he'll always be barefoot. Please try to see him in a small theater if you can.
His music (and live shows) are full of energy, inspiration, and musical diversity (rap, rock, reggae, ballads, you name it). This latest album is no exception.
After attending the first of two small theater shows of Michael Franti & Spearhead, I was instantly hooked on this incredible man and his band. I am head over heels for Franti.
The variety of sounds, the range in his voice, and his talented band members combine for in an explosion of social, political, and personal messages. He wants to inspire people to find peace, take a look at their world, acknowledge differences, and to help others.
He makes a huge effort to shake hands after the show with anyone who approaches the stage. Do yourself a HUGE favor and buy this CD (and his others as well).
Heard the song "And I Love You" a few times and thought he had such a great sound. Took a chance and bought the entire CD and LOOOVE it. What a fantastic album - I had never heard of Michael Franti before.I'm very happy to add this to my collection.
this is one of michael franti's best albums.he's always coming up with good stuff but i'de say this is one of his best so far.all the tracks are good and i can listen to the whole cd without skipping a song
Nothing is worse than paying good money for a CD because you love the single, and then the single turns out to be the only good song on CD. Every song on this CD is good. I really like this CD. I have had it playing in my car for the last 2 weeks.
